Mark

“Kaizen” is a Japanese word that translates to “on-going improvement” and it is this phrase that Mark lives by each day. As the resident scholar of REVOICED, you will often find Mark diligently reading and taking notes in the margins of books, engulfed in the latest podcast from The Dan Patrick Show, or quietly journaling his newfound knowledge in the expanding world of public health. Mark’s drive towards personal growth never ceases.

Born and currently residing in Rochester, NY, Mark developed this drive courtesy of his parents. While not musicians themselves, Mark’s parents always had music playing around the house and from this Mark grew fond of Elvis Presley and the emotional sounds of Motown. However, it was when he experienced Michael Bublé’s rendition of “Feeling Good” that he became completely enthralled with music and how it could make someone else feel. It was Michael Bublé and his ability to rejuvenate the musical standards of yesterday that became the catalyst that shifted Mark’s focus from scholastic and athletic endeavors towards a life of singing.

Today, Mark’s smooth vocal tenor earns him high praise and ovations while delivering the most recent REVOICED ballad onstage. Offstage, and more importantly, Mark is a constant driving force for REVOICED’s “music with a purpose” focus. “I feel like we have an obligation to give back to the communities and country that has made it possible for us to do what we love.”

His drive was an integral part in aligning REVOICED with Best Buddies International and with a background as a former educator, he pushes the group forward towards more collaborative Music In Schools endeavors. Mark’s belief that “we’re each at our best when we look after each other, especially those less fortunate than we are” couldn’t be closer to what REVOICED was intended for.
